🏔️ 5 Days Marangu Route Itinerary – Mount Kilimanjaro Climb with Excellent Safaris
The Marangu Route, also known as the “Coca-Cola Route,” is the oldest and most established path to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. It’s the only route that offers overnight stays in mountain huts, making it a comfortable choice for climbers who prefer not to camp.
Unlike other routes, Marangu follows the same trail up and down, offering a well-maintained path and gradual ascent through five distinct climate zones — from rainforest to arctic summit. This route is ideal for first-time trekkers, and is often chosen for its simplicity, affordability, and hut accommodation.
Despite being considered easier due to its gentle slopes, the rapid ascent profile can make acclimatization difficult.
